TaylorMade bean bags come in three sizes. The Medium (110cm x 70cm) suits one adult and fits comfortably in a bedroom, study or smaller living room. The Large (125cm x 80cm) is our most popular size, roomy enough for one adult to stretch out fully or two people seated. The Extra Large (140cm x 90cm) comfortably fits two adults and works best in a larger living space. If you're unsure, message us your room dimensions and we'll recommend a size. The Large (125cm x 80cm) is the size most TaylorMade customers choose. It's big enough to lie back in properly, but small enough that it doesn't dominate a living room.

TaylorMade can resize your bean bag for R500, excluding courier fees. Email info@taylormadedesign.co.za to arrange it. Please note: Bean bags can be resized down, but not up, for an additional R500. This means we can resize an XL to a L, but not a L to an XL.

Yes. All TaylorMade fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified, which means every component — the fabric, threads, dyes and zips — has been independently tested and cleared of over 1,000 harmful substances. TaylorMade also makes a dedicated kiddies range, including the Cloud Sofa for ages 1 to 5 and the Comfy Couch modular sofa.

OEKO-TEX is an independent textile testing standard. An OEKO-TEX label means every component of the material — including the fabric, threads, dyes and zips — has been tested and found free from over 1,000 harmful chemicals. All TaylorMade products use OEKO-TEX certified fabrics.

TaylorMade bean bags are filled with foam flakes cut in-house at their Cape Town workshop, rather than the chipped foam offcuts most bean bags use. Chipped offcuts compact over time, which is why many bean bags flatten within a year. Foam flakes cut to a consistent size hold their shape for years.

The Premium range uses heavyweight 375gsm breathable corduroy. The Eskimo range uses a super soft faux fur. Both are OEKO-TEX certified and available in six colourways.

Yes. Every TaylorMade bean bag has a removable cover with dual zips that comes off completely and goes in the machine on a cold wash. The heavyweight corduroy is built to handle repeated washing.

Unzip the outer cover, remove it from the inner bag, and machine wash on a cold cycle. The dual zip design means removal takes about a minute.

Every item is made to order, so allow 7 to 14 business days for manufacturing plus 2 to 3 business days with the courier. In quieter periods orders often arrive within a week. You'll receive a tracking number by email once the order is dispatched.

Yes. Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa.

TaylorMade doesn't hold finished stock. Every bean bag, dog bed and kiddies item is manufactured to order in their Cape Town workshop, and the foam is ground in-house rather than bought ready-made. Lead times vary slightly depending on how busy the workshop is.

You have 14 days from delivery to return an unopened item. There is no admin or restocking fee — you only pay the courier cost of returning it. Once an item has been opened it can't be refunded, because every item is custom-made to order and an opened one can't be resold. Damaged or faulty items are replaced regardless of whether they've been opened.

Yes. The Premium range carries a five-year warranty on materials and workmanship. TaylorMade has been trading for fifteen years, so the warranty is backed by an established business.

Email info@taylormadedesign.co.za with photos and TaylorMade will replace it. This applies whether or not the item has been opened.

Taylormade Designs is an established South African brand that has been designing and manufacturing bean bags and relaxed furniture in Cape Town for 15 years. Our products are made locally, with the manufacturing process managed in-house, from flaking our own foam to construction and quality control. This gives us greater control over the materials, comfort and durability of everything we make.

All TaylorMade products are handmade in Cape Town, South Africa. Nothing is imported.

Yes. TaylorMade dog beds come in three sizes — 80cm, 100cm and 120cm — in the same OEKO-TEX certified 375gsm corduroy as the bean bags, with reinforced overlocked stitching and removable machine-washable covers.

TaylorMade makes a bean bag ottoman (also used as a footstool), a bean bag pillow (40cm x 15cm), and replacement covers, all in the same 375gsm corduroy and six colourways as the Premium range.
